Happy Halloween!

I was smart enough to buy treats I wouldn’t eat for Halloween. We only got 6 trick or Teaters. I am now loaded up with Teddy grams and Oreo minis. The good thing is, I have a neighbor with small grandkids who will be loaded with treats in the morning.
Anyway, I also decide to day was my cheat meal of sorts, and so shocked to the reaction my body had to the crap I attempted to feed it. They (Alan and Dana) kept saying you need a cheat meal every so often. I have unbelievable will power when I want it.

Tonight I had a spinach and cheese mini calzone that I made from scratch. I feared the bread more than the calories as I knew the cheese and spinach were good. I also added a side of broccoli to the plate for aesthetics, and some health benefits. So I got though part of the calzone and my stomach started to feel yucky, bloated and really not happy with the processed crap I had just added to its new natural state. I am thinking I won’t do that again, and fear the scale. Then when company arrived we all had three mini homemade oatmeal raisin cookies with light vanilla ice cream. I had just the one scoop of ice cream and didn’t even finish it. Considering the PMS symptoms that have kicked in, I am somewhat proud while still being disappointed. How strange is that? Is that even normal?
All in all I enjoyed my evening, my company and my new ability to control myself better than I have in the past.
There always seems to be a new start in this process or maybe it is simply progression.
This coming Monday is going to be a tough one.
I hope everyone had a nice and safe evening.
