I had a couple great days where I ate great (never enough water) and some where it just seemed like that old fashion chocolate cake donut needed my attention. The slacking and laziness has officially disgusted me. When you do things for yourself like, weight lifting, circuit training, lunges, squats and other things that can even be done in front of the TV, you feel better about yourself, I do anyway. I also have noticed what a great impact my daily walks have had on my anxiety levels and when I was working out a few times a week it were even lower, that right there is motivation to get back into it. It is national heart awareness month and I am a supporter of www.goredforwomen.org and with all the reading I have done I know a lifestyle change as simple as walking can reduce my risk of heart disease and other diseases. No more donuts, no more Jimmy John’s and no more of the white evil (sugar) I am going to kick my own butt this week, I will boot camp it if I have to or worse yet, do the naked mirror stare down. It is back to the steel cut oats and protein powder for breakfast and of course more liquid intake.
When I was at the grocery store Sunday picking up a few things, I noticed that my berries cost ($5.99), Celery ($3.20) and other great veggies were really expensive. However, if I wanted to feed my body more crap like I have been doing, I could eat gross TV dinner 10 for $10.00, a dollar a piece, Hot Pockets and Pizza rolls were cheaper then frozen vegetables. That is all kinds of crazy wrong if you ask me. Oprah, the news, magazines, you hear everywhere the obesity rate is up; people are gaining far too much weight. Aside from it really being the individuals own doing as we all have control over what we put in our mouths and how much or little we move, I do think with the sad state of our economy, there are many that can only afford to buy the 10 for $10 and other cheap items that will take there dollar farther, you can’t blame them for needing to feed their family, but, for that, we can blame the current state of our government. My point being, it is so much cheaper and your money will take you farther if you just eat crap. It has always been this way, it is just getting worse, the really good for you foods are getting far to expensive.
I am in hopes to greatly avoid eating things that are not part of my clean eating plan, I will not talk myself into a quick bite out with a friend or other meals I know don’t work well for my body. I do better on more protein and less refined foods. Refined foods and carbs gravitate to my fat cells, I am pretty sure they see me coming in the stores and prepare for attack.
It has been a really bad week; I hope I can do better for myself starting this Monday. I do think this has been the worst so far since I started this. I am not a fan of set backs. I know I created it myself, and from here I simply pick myself up, dust myself off and move on.

I agree that the "junk food" is cheaper and also more convenient to make than the healthy food. So wrong, yet so true.
Walking is definitely the greatest single thing you can do for your health.
I hope you get through this temporary glitch, or valley, on your path to better health quickly!!!
I am back on the road to weight recovery after spending more on fruits, veggies and oatmeal than some can afford in a week for food. The two pounds I ganied came back off, but what a cycle I have sucked myself into. No one to blame but me. Thanks for being such a great support.
