This last week has been unimpressive. I didn’t do anything super grand and the scale agrees. My clothing is still becoming loose, which is always a good sign.
There are a few trails by my home where I walk. I have a main one that I walk more than others as it is more public and close to the police station. There is a woman who rollerblades there almost daily (when it is nice) and I just can’t believe how different she is starting to look compared to last year. I am thinking I may just need to give rollerblading a try, it really made her legs look strong. Now, I will just need to find a buddy to do this with incase I fall and kill myself.
I have been craving and eating watermelon and blueberries like crazy and have no idea why, but I guess it is better than my mini Twix bars.
This week is St. Patty’s day and I always cook the Irish dinner, and am looking forward to it already. This week is again supposed to produce nice weather with bad winds, but I am looking forward to the extra walks. If I don’t start kicking up a notch soon, I will not make my goal for this summer. It is amazing how easy it is to talk myself in to little setbacks, like a mini Twix, or a small but still packed with sugar Root beer float. I try and keep these evils out of the house, but when you have guests these things are sometimes needed. See how easy that was to justify?
I was not going to measure my successes by weekly pounds lost for March, but it is apparent that is exactly what I need to do. This week my hope is to lose 5 pounds, even with company and St. Patty’s day dinner.
