Fresh Monday

Well today is “Fresh Monday”, again with the greatest of intentions and so far, so good. Of course, it is only 11:00 am.
Sunday, my husband and I went canoeing on a rather large lake. Now we use to love canoeing and hadn’t been on 8 years or so. I forgot what a great upper body workout it is. Even my abs are sore today, I think it was more intense because of the wind and choppy waters, we also got stuck, and I being the good wife that I am , I jumped in the cold water to push us out the of the rocky sand bar (not good on the feet) and back to paddling safely. It was a great reminder of how simply enjoying something doesn’t seem like exercise, but is a great workout. Then we topped it off with Jimmy John’s and a Root Beer, there goes the workout. I wonder if it helps that I ate the Turkey Tom on 7 grain??

Today is yoga, mixed with my two mile walk that I plan to now push up to 3-5 miles a days since fall is upon us and the cooler weather makes for a great walk. I think I will also dreadfully do my measurements and possible post them. I will be talking with a weight loss/ health coach this week as well as a few trainers. I know this blog is far from exciting, but it will get there.
Yes, that is the tip of my canoe.

Thanks so much for sharing your blog address with me. I really like the design, and I'm looking forward to checking back regularly for updates.

Can I ask why your therapist thinks you need to give up on Fresh Mondays?

He thinks that picking one day to just start fresh sets you up for failure, when a slip up should just allow you to make better choices the rest of that day. Makes sense, but still doesn't work for me.

I guess I can see his point, but I like your idea of a day to start fresh better. :)
