Today I will go out and do something I deplore…Saturday grocery shopping! It truly is the worst day to shop. I will be off to load up on veggies, brown rice and some proteins. I will give this 6 times a day my very best efforts, of course, starting Fresh Monday. The gallon of water a day is going to be hard as well. It seems I will be spending all my time eating and in the loo.

The reasoning of eating upon waking: If you wake up at say 6:00 am, skip breakfast, then have lunch at 1:00 ish, then according to Allen, you are not burning calories until you have your first meal. The furnace needs to be kick started and fueled all day to burn the most calories. It seems logical, just really hard to do. I wonder if they sell self discipline at Target???

I am suffering shin splints from the very brief run I engaged in. I remember getting these when I start my walking routine over a year ago, just not this bad. Still, I keep on plugging away. I am also looking forward to my bike rides (kind of, not really). I need to find a seat that doesn’t kill my fanny, and I am not sure they make one. I have a gel seat, tried a wider seat and that was worse. Is it something you just get use to?

I am not fond of fear, but I must say, it is a great motivator. Now, I will try to be creative with this whole eating thing. It is already 12:30 pm and I have been up since 7:30 am, and still have not had one morsel of food. I am thinking I will have to just try and try again. I did eat within the first 30 minutes of waking yesterday and then again at 11:00 am, and then fell from the plan until 6:00 pm. At least I showed a wee bit of effort, right?

My least favorite day of the week is Sunday, so is the case with my husband and most others I know. There is just something about it that drags on and on. I am now thinking Sundays will be the perfect day to start painting and putting our mish mash gym together, and then, get this, actually use it. I am even thinking if I move one of the DVD players down there that I can do yoga without the dog getting involved. It seems necessary that she bounces around and licks my face while trying to get into pose.

I am off to do the very dreaded Saturday shopping for this whole new lifestyle.
