I am a list kinda girl; I make them daily as well as weekly for work, home and everything in-between, I am normally successful at getting everything checked on my daily and weekly lists. I also follow my calendar as if it is my lifeline, it really is! If something is not on it, then it will not happen. I like direction, having a plan, knowing what my daily tasks involve and where to start and end.
Having said all this and hearing many other women say “I have put myself back on the list”, I think it is time I do just that. If I schedule my workouts, yoga session or whatever I intend to do, then it will be one more thing I have to check off my list. It will be my start or my end, but it will be done. I have my daily walks that are as habitual as brushing my teeth at this point, and I need to make strength training and yoga habitual as well. I know that had I incorporated and stuck with the great workout programs that I was given, I would be so much closer to where I want to be, and not still beating myself up for my little failure and setbacks.
If I can make the time for errands, laundry, work, walking the dog, then I can make time to be healthier, and that is just what I am going to do. Sadly it should just come natural and hopefully one day it will.
This week I plan to just be on my daily list and see where it takes me, I am hoping to whole new set of great habits. Maybe I will even drop a couple pounds.
