Retired clothes

The strange thing about losing weight and shaping up is- sometimes you see the number go down, and don’t feel any different. Then there are days like today. I found that every pair of pants I put on where way to big…Now that is a hell of a way to start a morning.
So, I proceeded to the “other” closet. This is the dark place in the next room that holds all the jeans and dress pants from the past.
When I was done it looked like a teenagers room with pants strewn all about. I am two sizes down and some of my old pants don’t even fit. It was like a shopping trip in my underwear…and I never even left the house.
In all honestly, some of them slip right on, but don’t yet button without force, give me a week and that will all change. I feel so inspired and motivated, finally!

As I head out for today’s errands all these clothes that fit last week are being retired from this body and moving on to a thrift store. If they are not here, then I surely can’t ever where them again. No sense in keeping “fat clothes” around.

Next stop the closet in the basement…I can’t wait.

Whoo-hoo! Good for you! That is the best motivation of all--a whole "new" wardrobe from your previous clothes. And how fun to be able to pass the clothes you were wearing to charity. Besides the satisfaction of not being able to wear them any longer, giving to charity is down significantly. Whatever group you support can use the donation. Enjoy the success of your hard work!

It is strangely fun to shop my old clothes. I am still happily shocked, and oh so motivated. Thanks for the support!

Wow that is just fantastic! How much have you lost? Keep up the great work..I know it's hard and for me it's the hardest thing ever. I am having to really learn why it is I eat certain things..Im a total emotional eater and like alot of americans we associate everything with food. I love to cook and bake and you really have to turn everything around in order for it to happen.
Im so proud of you!!
