Fresh Monday

There is nothing like having a fifteen year old boy around to get you active. My nephew is here visiting and loves going on my walks with me as well as many other things. I always worry I will eat to much or bad when I have company, this always proves to be true. This time with all the baseball, driving range outing and today's huge hike, I have managed to lose a pound this last week. I have eaten out three times and we have had Root Beer floats a few nights. I loved the extra activity, but can feel my age catching up with me. I will be sorry in the morning, I am sure.
I know I have mentioned eating for the purpose of fueling your body. I try to do this but I like food. It doesn't mean I have to eat crap, but I like food that taste good. My point is this, my nephew eats for fuel, not because he is bored or just wants junk. I am not sure he is even aware he is doing it but he is. Even with eating out and indulging aside from some funny typical fifteen year old stuff, he has taught me a few things.
Today's picture was taken at the Canyon we hiked. Going down was fine but going back up was a killer.
My goal this week is just to figure out what is going on with my stomach and get back to life. Dropping a couple pounds would also be nice.
