I kept thinking today was Sunday. The holiday weekends do it to me every time. I did however start my Monday off as planned so somewhere my "mad cow" kicked in and I forgot what day it was.

I started my morning with a hike straight up a hill. I think it is about a mile up and a mile down, the down may be more depending on the route. I can feel it in my rear, legs and back. The burn was unreal. For someone who walks daily, I have found out that my walks are clearly not mixed up enough. I plan to do the "hill" three days a week. I went with another walker today, but decided that the scenery would be much nicer and quieter alone. When I get to the top I see this great view of the mountain range.

With birthdays and lot's of dining out this last week I was shocked to find out I lost 5 pounds. I would like to drop another 3 pounds or so this week. I bought all kinds of healthy foods to enjoy while amping up my exercise.

I am in hopes of keeping my positive outlook and starting some great new habits. As always I am forever working on the water intake and think this will always be one of my biggest challenges. I have been introduced to a product called CLA and plan to start this supplement this week. Aside from aiding in belly fat (it can take up to two months to notice that part) it has some other great benefits as well. Here is a link that I found with some general information.
